UNFORGETTABLE!!

After a really great week, I ended up in the hospital. How did that happen? I am still wondering. I spent three days there but would have a lifetime to forget the love and warmth that was shown to me by my family and friends. Everyone was great! Friends I haven't spoken to in a long time called or visited and by their actions I was extremely moved. I even got a visit from someone I rarely got along with. (Maybe she thought I was dying)

Now at home, I look at some of the things I spent time grieving about (sweating the small stuff), instead of living my life. Too many times I bellyache about situations that, at times, didn't even existed. Wasting precious time arguing with my friends instead of just saying I'm sorry. Time that could have been spent with my husband and kids. Time that should have been allocated to my studies. Time lost.

We've always heard "Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today", however I prefer the bigger picture which says "Do today what others don't, to have tomorrow what others won't". Time is precious, don't waste it . I INTEND TO ENJOY EVERY SECOND OF MINE!!

True Friends are Earthly Angels

I had a wonderful telephone call today. My dearest friend called to say I was forgiven. Such Blissful words to my ear. I am very grateful to be forgiven and will endeavour to do my best to ensure that I keep this friendship and all my friendships true and in the green. It is so simple, according to my grandmother, honesty is the best policy.
A Lesson Learnt!!

Trust & Friendship

Have you ever said something to a friend, trying to guard them but ends up hurting them and your friendship ever more? I did that today to one of my best friends. To make matters worse it was about trust and we know how fickle trust is. My friendship is really in the red with this person and may be heading for bankruptcy. I am truly sorry but the damage is already done. I am not sure I can make it right again cause this is not the first incident of this kind but this is the worst. I take the blame for everything and hope that I would be forgiven. I truly hope I can save that friendship.

My advice is,
Speak the truth and speak it ever
Cause it what it will
He who hides the wrong he did
Does the wrong thing still

Friendships are treasures, keep your friendship bank in the green.

One Of Those Days!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, what a wonderful wonderful day, a day I would never forget!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up early this morning and went online where I met a dear friend. We chatted for a while then I wrote my first blog. I then spoke to a long lost friend, whom I haven't heard from in ages, and was reminded of how wonderful life can, be if we only choose to make it that way.
I attended classes in a really great mood and found it more stimulating that usual. I left a bit early to attend my Toastmasters meeting. The meeting was enlightening! I felt warm,ed loved and happy. This was my second family, the family I enjoyed being with. The family I have been neglecting recently. Today rekindled the bonds and that old feeling of love was back and I know its back to stay.
The cherry on my day was getting my package from England (re CAT/ACCA registration). What I read excited me. I was accepted of course but for the ACCA program and not the CAT program I originally applied for. I am accepted in the Mature Student Entry Route (MSER). I really had no idea I was qualified in any way. Now I know. This was EXCELLENT!!
I AM IN A STATE OF EUPHORIA!!!

Life's Little Lessons

It's amazing the things we take for granted, like walking, talking, seeing, breathing. Recently I was reminded of how essential it was to Breathe. Being on vacation I decided to give my house a general clean. At approximately 10:25am I started dusting, rearranging furniture and washing windows. I then thought that this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of some clutter. So I sorted out my clothing into three pile, the everyday wear, the special occasions and the give away pile. I was feeling great!

By the end of all this it was about 5pm, had my shower and was ready to relax and just watch some TV. I started sneezing. I have always had problems with my sinus but never did I let it stop me from doing the things that needed to be done. The sneezing continued and a headache started. I took two paracetamol and settled into bed. I fell asleep.

I woke up in flurry, gasping for air, I couldn't breathe. Even with my mouth wide open ,air evaded me. I started pacing the room with the hope of improving my situation, it was of little use. My chest was hurting with every faint breath and I felt like I was choking. I started coughing. The coughing became uncontrollable and my headache returned. By this time, my husband Kesslon, who was asleep, awoken and in his stupor asked me to come back to bed. Using my hands I frantically tried to explained what was happening to me, after what seemed like an eternity, he got it. He became fully awake. As I gasped, he got dress then helped me to get dressed, he called a taxi and we were off.

In 10 minutes I was at the emergency room, where I was treated and cautioned about dusting. I also learnt that I had a mild trace of bronchitis and was placed on medication.

I always knew breathing is an essential part of living however that incident will ensure that I never forget it nor take it for granted.
